San Carlos Bay Sail & Power Squadron
- Boating Safety and Education
The SAN CARLOS BAY SAIL & POWER SQUADRON is a subordinate local unit of United States Power Squadrons® (USPS), a national non-profit boating organization which was organized in 1914; it is many times referred to as America’s Boating Club®”.
USPS is an educational civic-minded organization dedicated to making boating safer and more enjoyable by teaching classes in seamanship, navigation and related boater and boating subjects, as well as performing civic functions for the boating public. USPS nationally has nearly 30,000 members who are organized into over 350 local squadrons across the United States and in some US territories. USPS is America's largest non-profit boating organization and has been honored by three US presidents for its civic contributions.
Our squadron members are boaters and boating families who enjoy participating with fellow members on the water and in the classroom. Our squadron members have fun together, learn together, and boat together.
Our local squadron serves boaters who live and boat in southern Lee County, Florida, including Fort Myers Beach, south Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero and all surrounding areas. In addition to providing fun events for our members, we strive to educate all boaters in our area through our boating safety courses which are offered on a regular basis to boaters in our communities.
